New York Daily News: MANHATTAN, NY – A 13-year-old boy fell 20 stories to his death early Monday from the Midtown high-rise where he lived, police said.

The boy was discovered on the pavement outside his building on W. 43rd St. near Ninth Ave. about 6 a.m. He was not wearing a shirt, sources said.

His mother and sister were home at the time, and the youth’s father had just left for work, the sources said. The family told investigators that the boy was doing his homework on the balcony, the sources said.

The death remains under investigation. The boy’s identity was not immediately released.

The residential skyscraper is a Mitchell-Lama building which has reportedly had a star-studded roster of residents over the decades, including singer Alicia Keys, “Seinfeld” creator Larry David, playwright Tennessee Williams, and actors Mickey Rourke and Giancarlo Esposito. Actor Samuel L. Jackson was a security guard there.
