Road traffic accidents continue to cause carnage on our words with word from the Bermuda Hospitals Board that as of the end of April, close to 500 motorists ended up in the hospital’s Emergency Department for treatment.
According to the latest road traffic accident statistics posted on the hospital’s website www.bermudahospitals.com
Road traffic accidents between January up to the end of April 2018 shows 490 victims required treatment at the Emergency Department and 36 victims were admitted to the Acute Care Wing.
Five victims were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, four were 18 or younger who were also admitted to the hospital and three were discharged to overseas medical facilities, following road traffic accidents.
