The total number of motorists involved in road traffic accidents as of January 1 up to the end of October has climbed to 1,459.
According to the latest statistics released by the Bermuda Hospitals Board today, 132 victims were admitted to acute care wards for treatment.
Eighteen (18) were admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, with another eight victims 18 years of age or younger who were also admitted to the hospital following a road traffic accident.
Included in the total to date – 116 tourists, who had their vacations marred by injuries sustained in a road traffic accident on Bermuda’s roads this year.
