Local firefighters were called out to extinguish another early morning car fire – this time in Pembroke, just before 5am this morning (March 20)

A spokesperson for the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service (BFRS) said: “At 4:53am on March 20 2021, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service Dispatch revived a report of a vehicle on fire at Parsons Road and St Augustines Hill, Pembroke.

“BFRS responded with one appliance from the Hamilton Fire Station with a total of four firefighters. On arrival, fire crews found one car light truck fully involved in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames using foam. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation.”

Earlier this week the police confirmed that they were investigating another incident where someone “tried to set fire to a truck” parked in Pembroke.

Another car fire destroyed a vehicle and five motorcycle parked outside a Pembroke resident which is “being considered suspicious”.
