Bermuda’s Swim Team got off to a flying start at the XXXIV Carifta Swimming Championships 2019 that got underway this weekend in Barbados winning a total of eight medals on the opening day, including four Gold, three Silver and a Bronze medal.
Gold medalists include Giada Dudley-Pun, took first place honours in the 11-12 Girls 200 Meter Breaststroke in a time of 2:52.74 and Imojen Judd, who won the gold in the 11-12 Girls 50 Meter Backstroke with a time of 32:38.
Sam Williamson also sealed a gold medal in the 13-14 Boy’s 200 Meter Breaststroke in a time of 2:29.15. And the Girls Relay Team, comprised of Pippa Charleson, Bella Howes, Imojen Judd and Giada Dudley-Pun won the 11-12 Girls 4×100 Meter Freestyle Relay in a time of 4:20.11.
Logan Watson-Brown won the silver medal in the 15-17 Girls 100 Meter Butterfly and Elijah Daley won the silver medal in the 11-12 Boy’s 100 Meter Butterfly events.
Elan Daley also secured a silver medal finishing second in the 13-14 Girls 50 Meter Backstroke event and a bronze medal in the 200 Meter Breaststroke.
The games will come to a close on Tuesday.
