News Release: HAMILTON, Bermuda – The Minister of Education, Diallo Rabain, has provided the following post-hurricane update. 

Minister Rabain said: “Following Hurricane Fiona, all public school buildings have been assessed to safely re-open.

“The Ministry and Department of Education are pleased to report that all schools will be open tomorrow, Monday, September 26th, for in-person learning.

“On behalf of our students, staff, and parents, I wish to thank those who assisted with the inspection of our school buildings and properties this past weekend. I also wish to thank BELCO for prioritising our schools to ensure electricity was restored in time to open schools.”

Minister Rabain concluded: “We are blessed to have weathered the hurricane safely, and we look forward to welcoming our students back to school tomorrow.”
