Bermuda’s own World Triathlon champion Flora Duffy intends to bow out gracefully from her ITU triathlon career on her home turf when the island hosts the World Triathlon Grand Final in 2021.
Duffy’s plans were revealed yesterday with the announcement that Bermuda is once again, set to host one of the sport’s biggest events.
No word on whether she plans to retire from the sport after the Grand Final.
Bermuda hosted a successful ITU World Triathlon Series event in April, which was won by Ms Duffy.
Bermuda will also host World Series events in 2019 and 2020 leading up to the Grand Final.
