Sadly, Bermuda recorded another road traffic fatality last night, bringing the total number of deaths on our roads this year to 11.
Police confirmed that a man died as a result of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Warwick.
Emergency services responded to the report of a serious collision on Middle Road, near the entrance to Belmont Hills Golf Course around 9.17pm.
“Initial reports suggest that a man travelling east, attempted to overtake another vehicle, when he was involved in a collision with a motor car travelling in the opposite direction,” a spokeswoman said.
“The rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment, however, sadly he succumbed to his injuries.
“The driver of the car and his passenger were conveyed to KEMH for treatment of what has been described as superficial injuries.”
No further information about the deceased will be released until the next of kin have been notfied.
