Bermuda has a new centenarian in Hamilton Parish, where Mr Kenneth Smith celebrated his 100th birthday this week.
Mr Smith, a well-known musician also received a visit from Premier David Burt.

A spokesperson said: “Mr Smith was one of the Dockyard Apprentices in the 1930s and worked there for eight years during World War II.”
As a musician he also “led the Aldano Sextet, as the drummer for the Band”.
“The Band played and hosted dances in every Bermuda club, hotel, church hall and on the former US Kindley Air Force Base,” the spokesperson added.
“Mr Smith received the Queen’s Certificate for his community service. Bermuda’s newest Centenarian enjoyed an afternoon of fun with family and friends.
“Congratulations Mr Smith.”
