Early morning thunderstorms, strong winds and heavy rain stripped electrical power to hundreds of homes in the East End this morning (May 16).
As of 12:45pm, mainly homes in the Harrington Sound area were still without electricity.
Some 932 customers were without power as of 10am as the restoration process continued.
According to the Belco Outage Map homes affected in St George’s and St David’s had their power restored.
This after the Bermuda Weather Service issued a Severe Weather Watch for the local area, which was cancelled shortly after 8am.
