This coming weekend marks the final leg of the 2018 Restaurant Weeks and the last chance for Bermuda’s foodies who participated by dining out, to vote online for their favourite restaurant in the second annual People’s Choice Awards.
As Bermuda Restaurant Weeks comes to a close this weekend, a Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) spokesman said: “It’s a hotly coveted award by the culinary community in Bermuda because the winning restaurant gets bragging rights, and typically, a boost in business as a result of taking the honour.
“Only restaurants that serve a Bermuda-inspired menu during Restaurant Weeks are eligible for the award.
“The reigning People’s Choice winners from 2017
are Lost in the Triangle – LITT, for lunch and Red Steakhouse for dinner.
“Lunch and dinner awards will be presented this year as well, given to the restaurants that garner the most votes.”
He also noted that for the first time this year:, “if diners ordered from a Bermuda-inspired menu on ‘Inspired Wednesdays’, they could get their meal for free if they were randomly selected to receive a special dessert plate inscribed with #BermudaRW”.
“This year is the seventh for the annual campaign. A record 52 restaurants across the island are participating,” he added.
The final night for Restaurant Weeks 2018 will be Sunday, February 4th. People’s Choice Award voting will end Wednesday, February 7th at 5pm.
