Another young male motorist is in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit today, following an early morning single vehicle accident around 2:45am this morning (Sunday, June 23rd).

A spokesman said: “Details are still emerging. However, it appears that the 22 year old male motorcyclist involved was traveling out of the City of Hamilton along Crow Lane when he struck thekerb near Corkscrew Hill.

The rider sustained multiple injuries – including head injuries – and was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

At last check he was expected to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

An update on his medical condition is anticipated in due course.

Traffic diversions were in effect for over two hours while the scene was processed.
