Another visitor, fresh of the cruise ship was injured in a road traffic accident in Dockyard on Thursday.
Police say the accident occurred around 2:30pm on Malabar Road in Sandys.
A spokesman said the rental scooter involved was heading west and the car was east near Craddock Road.
The rider, a visiting 35-year-old American man was not hurt, but his pillion passenger, a 35-year-old woman sustained a serious leg injury.
At last check she was listed in stable condition on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the car was no injured – both vehicles were damaged.
