Police are tonight investigating another sudden death of a 55-year-old man believed to be from Southampton, who was found on board a boat in waters just off Lagoon Road in Sandys.
First responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive male who was found “adrift aboard a boat” around 7:40pm tonight.
A spokesman said: “Marine police assisted in bringing the vessel ashore, where emergency medical personnel commenced lifesaving efforts. However, the man was later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.”
No further information regarding the deceased will be provided until his next of kin have been notified.
Earlier today police identified 45-year-old Rohan Simons, who was found in an “unresponsive state” at a property in the Spar Lane, Craddock Road area in Sandys on Sunday morning. Foul play is not suspected but an autopsy will be carried out.
