Police confirmed today that three females sustained non-life threatening injuries while “getting out of harm’s way” during the shooting incident that landed a 17-year-old male in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
At last check the young man was listed in stable condition, as the investigation continues.
A police spokesman said: “It is now understood that the teenage male victim was part of a gathering of individuals at a residence in the neighbourhood when the incident took place.
“Apparently three females that were also part of that gathering avoided being shot but sustained non-life threatening, non-gun related injuries getting out of harm’s way,” he added.
The incident occurred around 11:15pm on Friday, May 19th in the North Shore, Glebe Road Devonshire area.
Detectives renewed their appeal today for any witnesses or persons who saw suspicious activity in the area around 11:15pm to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739, or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
