An unveiling of the 2018 National Tourism Plan will take place at the Bermuda Tourism Summit on Wednesday, October 24, with “the daylong gathering of industry stakeholders, community leaders and partners from around the globe to focus on a theme of elevating the island to the Next Level of tourism resurgence,” the BTA said.

“Now that Bermuda has accomplished ten consecutive quarters of year-over-year growth, the tourism industry needs a strong, balanced plan to reach the Next Level,” said Kevin Dallas, Bermuda Tourism Authority chief executive.

“How Bermuda’s tourism sector grows from here will be the focal point of the summit. The National Tourism Plan gives us a solid platform upon which to have that conversation because it contains the research we need for building a smart, collaborative strategy through 2025.”

A spokesperson said, “Advance registration for the summit opened today. The cost is $40 and includes breakfast, lunch and a networking cocktail reception, all taking place at Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club. The deadline for registration is Friday, October 19.

“Anyone working in or connected to the tourism industry should consider attending, including tourism entrepreneurs and vacation rental property owners. Stakeholders in the public and private sectors who work with tourism-related businesses on a regular basis will also find interest in the information shared at the summit.

“In addition to the release of the National Tourism Plan, the Bermuda Tourism Summit Agenda includes workshops on the vacation rental market, a panel on international tour operators and the launch of a new online portal for tourism industry stakeholders called BTAConnect. Google Destinations, TripAdvisor and the National Service Standards Programme will also have a presence at the summit on October 24.”
